Lake Maloney State Recreation Area

Lake Maloney is approximately 6 miles south of North Platte. The 1132 acre State Recreation Area has 56 camping pads with 30 amp electrical hook-ups and 200 non-pad sites without electricity. There is a shower facility, dump station, and a swimming beach. Boat ramps, 2 fish cleaning stations, picnic tables, grills and vault toilets are also available. Camping is first come, first served.

Lake Maloney Jaycee Park Disc Golf

The North Platte Jaycees teamed up with a local Eagle Scout candidate, Tyler Ogden, to build a frisbee golf course at Lake Maloney. Take Highway 83 south of North Platte to S. Maloney Dr. Head east toward the Lake Maloney Golf Course. About 1/2 a mile before the golf course, you will see Jaycee Park on the north side of the road. Short 1500 – 1800 ft course on the shore of Lake Maloney. Mostly flat, lightly wooded.

At this challenging regulation course, the rolling terrain offers few level lies, sand and trees can get in the way on several holes. A beautiful view of the lake is a reward for a day spent on a beautiful course. The course features a putting green, chipping green, driving range, snack bar and pro shop. Par 72. Course Ratings: Blue – 72.6/124, White – 60.4/120, Red – 70.1/115.
