Make memories with your family!
You’ll need to keep up your strength for this adventure, so start out right with a visit to the Lincoln Highway Diner, Lee Bird Field or 320 Rodeo Road. Either location serves up delicious, hearty fare!
After you are well nourished, make your way to the Fort Cody Trading Post, 221 Halligan Drive. Here you’ll find the ‘kitschiest roadside attraction in America’, with plenty of unique souvenirs to purchase – plus an incredible collection of Native American jewelry and a large section of books of western lore. Not to be missed is the 12,000-piece, hand-carved miniature replica of the Buffalo Bill Wild West Show that is the centerpiece of their old west memorabilia collection! Stretch your legs in the fort’s parade ground in the back that hosts the NRoute Entertainment Summer Music Series on Thursdays in the summer!
You might be feeling peckish by this time, so plan on checking out Merrick’s Ranch House, 1220 East 4th Street for lunch! Great home-cooking in one of North Platte’s oldest locally-owned restaurants!
Now it’s time to work off some of those calories! There’s no better place to do that than Cody Go-Karts, 805 Halligan Drive! Go-Karts of course – both a speedway and slick track! But also miniature golf, bumper boats, three water slides and a game room! Spend the afternoon, or get a weekend wristband and come back for more (promotions vary throughout the season).
Combine food and fun at Godfather’s Pizza, 1100 South Jeffers Street and WB’s Fun Center, 1100 South Jeffers Street! Great food plus bowling, arcade, VR games, laser tag and more all in one awesome spot!
